Family Free Play Zone
Plenty of things for our little visitors to do and make
The Family FREE Play Zone is located in Zone A at the Equine end of Main Avenue, but with a slightly bigger area to accommodate all the activities in a safe and secure area.
This year the favourites are back - Panic Circus clowns and stilt walkers providing fun and games plus a chance for the children to learn circus tricks. Purple Routes have a whole range of great creative play ideas, PAT Ponies, face painting fun, gold and gem panning with Highland Gold & Gem Panning, a magician and bouncy castle. And best of all, it is all FREE!!!
Catering will be availabe for all the family and plenty of seating where mums and dads can keep an eye out for their children whilst they are enjoying the entertainment.
Look for the flags at the end of Main Avenue.
Edupets is a Welsh company specialising in bringing animals into the classroom as an educational and entertainment experience. Kara and her team will be coming along with a fantastic variety of animals for the children to handle and talk about. They will include miniature horses, chinchillas, degus, frogs, guinea pigs, lizards, rabbits and snakes. All the animals have names, so pop along and meet Biggles, Sebastien, Lettuce, Fred and Chin Chin.
The Panic Family Circus
Puppet shows, clown shows, circus skills workshops, giant bubble-blowing on the lawn, stunts and storytelling… Panic Circus has something for everyone. Their colourful Big Top is the centrepiece of the Family Zone, and from there they provide almost continuous entertainment throughout the three days of the Show. In between their many scheduled performances and workshops, you just might spot a clown wandering around the Zone on a unicycle, or hear a crowd of excitable children chasing bubbles around the field.
Panic Circus is a family-run "social circus" based in mid-Wales, with 40 years experience of promoting the social good through fun and creativity! All the performers and workshop teachers have a wonderful people-friendly and child-centred approach, so don't be shy! Roll up, roll up to the Family Zone, and learn the tightrope, spin a plate, have some laughs…
Purple Routes is an Open Access Play Project covering Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire, offering play sessions for children and young people aged 5 - 15 years.
They encourage children to play in open spaces with various equipment such as circus equipment, ropes, parachutes, loose parts, sports equipment and go carts and art and craft materials. They want children to use their imagination and come up with ideas on how to use the equipment.
Magician & More
This year the Family Free Play Zone will also have our own magician, wowing the kids with trickery galore.
And of course you can expect lots of energy to be used up on the Bouncy Castle and other activities.
