People of The Show

The lovely people who exhibit, volunteer, compete and visit our great show

The Harries Family

Farming for Meurig and Grade and their children is truly a family affair. And for many years they have been helping run the Pig Section of the County Show. They also compete in many of the show's competitions. Their enthusiasm is wonderfully infectious.

Derek Rees

Derek has had a connection with the show for many years, as a journalist and through his family. He has written a history of the show and has some great stories of it's past, as well as an abiding love for the community and fun the event creates currently.

Wyn Morris

Wyn Morris talks about his career training horses, the show and his love of Pembrokeshire

Described at last year's Royal Welsh Show as "probably Wales' most well known producer of show ponies and horses." Wyn started up his own yard at just 28 and the rest is history culminating in recognition and success in producing show horses and ponies and training point-to-point horses and hunter chasers.

Non Thorne

Non Thorne talks about the family business breeding Herefords, and why shows, especially Pembrokeshire, are important for them.

The original Studdolph herd was established in 1946. In 2005, the Studdolph Poll Herd  was established when Non was given two heifers for Christmas. Studolph was awarded the National Hereford Herd of the Year in 2008 and it was a proud moment for the family.
