Come & Join the Team at Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society

Job Title: Grounds Person

The Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society has temporary full time job opportunities to join our Grounds Team for the 2018 County Show.  We are looking for up to six individuals to join the core team who will deliver the infrastructure for the County Show.

Responsibilities and Duties

This work is a combination of indoor and outdoor work including the setup of various sections of the Show, heavy manual handling, maintenance of existing equipment and general site maintenance.  An ability to work as part of a team and a can do attitude are essential.  Some knowledge of the County Show and its activities would be helpful but is not essential.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

Full driving licence

Telehandler licence

Experience of driving machinery including tractors, grass mowers and ATV's

Working Hours

Standard hours are 9am - 5pm although candidates must be prepared to work flexible hours as work increases towards the Show and will include some weekend work.

The posts will have varying start dates commencing mid-July until the end of August.

Job Title: Office Administrator

 

The Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society Ltd has a vacancy for an administrator based at its office on the County Showground at Haverfordwest.

This is a full-time position, working 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

The criteria for the position are:

• Educated to a high standard.

Excellent communication skills, oral and written, are essential.

High standard of reception and telephone customer care experience.

Excellent IT skills.

Knowledge and experience of using various IT applications.

To provide administration and support to the team and service relevant meetings when required.

Monitor and maintain accurate databases.

Assist with the organisation of functions and events.

Assist show organiser in the planning and the implementation of the annual agricultural show.

Deliver various projects within set timescales.

Enter financial and show data into relevant electronic systems.

Good team player.

Job Title: Bar Manager

An excellent opportunity exists for the role of Bar Manager with the Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society Ltd.

The Society has a superb function hall known as the Pavilion which offers excellent facilities along with a very modern bar and we are looking for a person with the relevant qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience to manage the bar facility during functions.

In addition there are other halls within the estate where a bar facility may be required and the post would extend to these areas. However, the hours of work will be flexible and dependant on requirement.
